Prudent Engineering, LLP, a multi-disciplinary engineering and land survey firm, has promoted David LaRue, L.S., E.I.T., C.F.M., to principal, manager of land survey services.

In this role, Mr. LaRue will be responsible for managing Prudent’s Land Survey Services department to meet the needs of the growing client base, including overseeing the field survey team, survey staff recruitment, ensuring high quality delivery of services, and overall client satisfaction.

With over 40 years in the land surveying industry, Mr. LaRue has a broad range of experience with fieldwork and survey business management. His accreditation as a Certified Floodplain Manager provides the expertise to perform projects requiring FEMA-related surveys. Mr. LaRue is also an FAA licensed commercial drone pilot.

A resident of Webster, New York, Mr. LaRue received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an active community volunteer having served in several local troop leadership roles with Boy Scouts of America, and as the president of the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, where he continues to devote time as a volunteer fire fighter.
