What do you do at Prudent?

Here at Prudent I am a Cadd Technician. I work with the Highway Design team in the designing and drafting through all phases of our projects.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is working in many different geographical locations of NY and getting to be a part of all aspects of the design from inspection to blueprints. It is interesting to see the range of geography through our local areas and really get to know the area I live.

I’m also grateful that I get to be involved in all parts of the company and being able to try new things. Recently I got to be involved with the survey department and had a training day on the equipment used out in the field. It was a neat experience and turned out to be helpful in the design process of a project I was working on. Opportunities to learn and grow seem endless in this career & I appreciate a challenge.

Who or what has inspired your career path most in your life?

I would have to say it is more of a what that has inspired my career path, and that -what- would be my desire to travel and see the many different scenes this world has to offer.

With working this career, it has given me the opportunity to observe and learn the many different aspects that go into travel. I am an avid road tripper and there’s nothing like driving on a road or through an area that you have helped design and bring to life! I have always enjoyed a good before and after -but when its in a large scale as in miles of highway, it’s an astounding feeling.
